Measure the mounting surfaces off a GS series twin, air cooled only. My neighbor's GS650L (shaft drive) is close, not close enough (too wide), but as you said, with a cutting torch and a welder, anything is possible. I've thought about getting a scrap Savage frame and a junkyard (runner) Hayabusa engine, but money is too tight for that kind of goofing around right now. The frame would have to be widened ( I'm pretty sure), but 230 or so mph on the strip...might be fun to try.
